I want to frame something but am hesitant to send it in because it is a one-of-a-kind piece. What do I do?
Have a photo lab create a quality copy, and then frame the copy. Our framing orders are sent via UPS overnight ground (two-day shipping). Our policy is printed on the back of the order form. Each piece is insured for up to $250 cash or $500 in free framing. The actual value of some pieces may be lower, but the sentimental value is priceless. You can also be assured that our shipping method is proven. We have received tens of thousands of pieces without incident.

What is the maximum size that can be framed?
Creative Memories can frame flat items up to 32 x 40 inches. If your project, including mat space, fits into a rectangle that is 32 x 40 inches, you’re OK.

Do we do shadowbox or memorabilia framing?
At this time we do not frame three-dimensional items. These items require independent mounting methods that are not accounted for on our Pricing Tools. Additionally, shipping these delicate items via UPS presents unique challenges. Among the items we do not frame are: coins, medals, jerseys, ribbons, tiles and other three-dimensional items.

How long will my framed artwork or photo last?
We use only ultraviolet protective glass and recommend not displaying framed pieces in brightly lit areas of your home, such as in front of a south-facing window or directly under a skylight. With these precautions, most items should last 20 years or more before noticeable color change.

Can I frame digital prints?
Of course. Custom Framing helps preserve digital prints. An unframed digital print displayed on a refrigerator is significantly more vulnerable to light and air pollution than a framed print. For safety, we also recommend preserving an additional copy of your digital prints in a Creative Memories album.
